Voted Best Architectural Firm To Work For since 2018, Taylor Design, a 100% employee-owned company, is looking for Senior Interior Designers to join our Sacramento team to work with our healthcare clients. This is your opportunity to work with a team of dedicated, creative and fun architects and designers on award winning healthcare projects.

 

A Lead Interior Designer is an integral member of a project team, working on all phases of projects from planning and conceptual design through construction. Responsibilities and duties include leading interior design efforts on multiple projects, mentoring interior design assistants and interior designers, and participates in business development activities.

 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar education or experience.
  • 7+ years of Interior Design experience
  • NCIDQ or CID accreditation or currently working towards credentials.
  • Basic knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite,
  • Knowledge of visualization software such as Enscape or Lumion, preferred
  • Membership in Industry and Networking groups such as IIDA
  • Experience in creating applicable design concepts & preparing material palettes.
  • Experience with Construction Administration including RFI’s, Submittals, and an understanding of construction processes and schedule.  


 Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Leads research, sourcing, price inquires, compiling of material finishes, furniture, and lighting concepts.
  • Ability to form a strong design concept which aligns with the client’s vision and brand.
  •  Interfaces with clients regularly and is learning to play a role in business development efforts.
  • Experience leading client design meetings and is responsible for coordinating presentation content including design models and renderings.  
  • Responsible for quality control of their own work using BIM and other technology tools as well as knowledge and support of Taylor design office standards as it relates to documentation.

Important Notes:

Pay Rate: $100,000 to $125,000/year 

Pay Comments: If you are hired at Taylor Design, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience, project complexity. and licensure and/or certifications. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
